There are many diverse dangers associated with working at height. The work at height courses are designed to train operators in safe systems of work in line with current health and safety regulations and best practice, while maintaining an "in the field" approach to working at height training. These courses include awareness, fall prevention, fall protection risk assessments through to fall arrest. The working at height courses covers all aspects of suspension trauma, including methods of minimizing the effect on the casualty and how to handle the casualty when they have been recovered to a safe place
Those new to work at height training will learn a host of practical and theoretical skills on the informative and highly comprehensive courses. During the work at height training candidates are instructed on the current legislations and laws pertaining to working on access towers. They are given awareness of how to prevent and control accidents, plus they’ll be taught the importance of using safety harnesses equipment whilst at work. As well as learning how to erect and disassemble a mobile scaffold safely, course attendees are taught how to alter or move a tower should this be required, as part of the working at height training. Once the work at height training has ended a candidate should be confident conducting a per-inspection test on towers, before they start working at height.
